The customer wants to open the gate with a code. The indoor monitor has no option for it and neither does the app. Here is where it actually lives.

You look on the indoor monitor β no option. You look in the DMSS app β it can unlock the door and show unlock records, but there is no way to add a code. So installers conclude "you need an app, or the cloud" and start chasing network problems that aren't there.
The keypad code is a Public Password stored on the door station (VTO), and it is set in the door station's own web interface. No cloud, no app and no internet required.

It is the single most-missed step in the whole install.Some kits also support a private code made of the room number (6 digits) + a personal password, which suits apartments. For a shared villa gate, the Public Password is the one you want.
Card readers are enabled under Card Settings, and cards are issued through the door station or a management centre. On our deployment the client's fobs and the new PIN worked side by side from day one β once the PIN was put in the right place.
